Terms of Service
Terms governing your use of our website and services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the website meteointel.com and the weather data APIs and related services (together, "Services") provided by MeteoIntel ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing the website or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
1. Description of services
We provide weather data, forecasts, historical data, and related information via API and through our website. Service levels, including availability and support, are as described in your plan or in separate agreements. Our APIs and website are hosted on infrastructure operated by OVH.
2. Registration and API keys
Access to our APIs may require registration and use of API keys or other credentials. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. Do not share API keys in public repositories or client-side code.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services only in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. You must not:
- Use the Services in a way that violates any law or third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other accounts, or data
- Resell or redistribute raw weather data in bulk without our prior written authorisation
- Use the Services to build a product that competes with our core offering without agreement
- Overload or abuse our systems (e.g. excessive request rates beyond your plan)
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Services or others.
4. Intellectual property
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services in accordance with these Terms. Our website, APIs, documentation, and the structure and presentation of our data remain our property or our licensors'. You may use the weather data we provide for your applications in line with your plan and these Terms, but you may not claim ownership of our datasets or our platform.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data will be complete or accurate for every use case. Weather data is for informational purposes; you are responsible for how you use it in your applications (e.g. in safety-critical or regulated contexts). To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we (and our suppliers) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from or in connection with the Services or these Terms. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or, if you have not paid, zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Privacy and data
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described there.
8. Changes to the terms or services
We may change these Terms or the Services from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and, for material changes, we will give at least thirty (30) days' notice where feasible (e.g. by email or a notice on the website). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
9. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right. These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bucharest, Romania, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
